As far back as 1905, Western Michigan University has offered extension courses in southwest Michigan, and WMU-Southwest continues that tradition today. The partnership between Western Michigan University and Lake Michigan College (LMC) allows LMC’s students to make a seamless transition into junior and senior level courses at WMU-Southwest.
WMU’s sustainability goals include making the university a national higher education sustainability leader, facilitating interdisciplinary and cross-college collaboration research and inquiry around sustainability, support of active learning and real-world problem solving through student sustainability research, internship and co-curricular activities, and more.
