March 12, 2022
The Great Lakes Bay Zero Waste Consortium will join the Michigan Sustainable Business Forum, expanding its resources and programming to provide enhanced services to the region’s business community. The renamed Michigan Sustainable Business Forum – Great Lakes Bay (MISBF-GLB) will introduce its new structure with a special happy hour program at 4 p.m. March 30 inside the Midland Center for the Arts’ Pendulum Lounge.
“By affiliating with the MiSBF, the Great Lakes Bay business community will have access to enhanced resources that allow for the creation of a more circular economy supporting more sustainable, equitable business practices,” said Sarah Archer, President and CEO of Iris Waste Diversion Specialists and program facilitator for MiSBF-GLB.
The Michigan Sustainable Business Forum promotes business practices and policies that advance climate leadership, community resilience, social justice, and the creation of a circular economy. “The important work of the Great Lakes Bay Zero Waste Consortium will continue, with members now able to share their expertise and network with other like-minded businesses throughout the state,” said Daniel Schoonmaker, MiSBF Executive Director. “Together we will help more Michigan job creators build a more sustainable economy.”
