March Campus Collective Meeting

This month’s meeting is a discussion of sustainable ways to reduce waste during student move-out of campuses. According to Planet Aid, the average college student discards 640 pounds of waste annually, and most of that is during the move off of campus in springtime. Many universities and their students are making an effort to help the environment by reducing the waste generated during this activity. Members will participate in knowledge sharing and discuss zero-waste initiatives. Practices such as donation drives, surplus and reuse stores, cardboard (and other) recycling, clothing swaps, and education campaigns will be discussed amongst the campus representatives.
