Eleanor Moreno, Strategy Manager, Kent County Food Policy Council

Eleanor Moreno is a community organizer and advocate, currently serving as the Director of Food System Innovation for the Kent County Food Policy Council. With a commitment to social impact and community empowerment, Eleanor’s work revolves around building a sovereign food ecosystem and fostering deep connections through food and storytelling.

An active member of several key organizations, Moreno is a Grand Rapids Public Schools Board Trustee, Committee member of the Latino Community Coalition and serving in an Emeritus role for the Grand Rapids Pride Center. Their extensive involvement underscores a dedication to equity and inclusion across various sectors.

They actively contribute to the Roosevelt Park Neighborhood striving to unite the community through conversation, service, and friendship.

Originally from Chicago, Moreno now calls Grand Rapids home, where they enjoy spending time with family, friends, and their dogs, Knox & Xo. Known for their ability to create memorable connections, Moreno remains dedicated to nurturing community and empowering underrepresented groups through their leadership and advocacy.
