Announcing 2025 Michigan Sustainable Business of the Year Honorees

Michigan Sustainable Business Forum will recognize 23 businesses and institutions from across the state as its first Michigan Sustainable Business of the Year Award honorees at the 12th Annual Triple Bottom Line Bash on Thursday, November 13 at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids. Winners include Unlimited Recycling, Inc., City of Ann Arbor, Vantage Plastics and other winners to be announced at the awards ceremony.
The Forum’s signature awards program has expanded to recognize the sustainability accomplishments of Michigan businesses and institutions in nine categories that will showcase the diverse and important impact of the sustainability practitioners in its network. Award winners and finalists were nominated by Forum members and selected by a committee of their peers. There are three non-competitive awards that were selected during the first round of review, and six competitive competitive categories that will be voted on by the selection committee and other stakeholders later this month.
The three non-competitive category award winners are Recycler of the Year Unlimited Recycling, Inc., Public Sector award winner City of Ann Arbor, and Vantage Plastics, which will be recognized for its circular economy leadership as the Forum’s Manufacturer of the Year.

Long the signature event of the western Michigan sustainability community, this is the first year for the program since the organization became the statewide Michigan Sustainable Business Forum as part of its 30th anniversary campaign last year.
The Michigan Sustainable Business of the Year Awards program was reorganized with an expanded slate of categories and recognition opportunities that reflect the diversity of industries, communities, and scale of organizations that are driving sustainability across the state. The Michigan Sustainable Business of the Year Awards recognizes organizations for accomplishments in Climate Leadership, Social Justice, Circular Economy, Clean Water, Sustainable Food Systems, Leadership & Advocacy.
The Michigan Sustainable Business Hall of Fame inductees will also be recognized at the event.

Renowned for its unique blend of art, culture and nature, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is recognized as the best sculpture park in the U.S. by USA Today and is the most visited tourist attraction in West Michigan. Triple Bottom Line Bash 2025 will conclude the Forum’s 30th Anniversary campaign and statewide expansion. It is presented by Consumers Energy.
