Robert Cloy II, Environmental & Climate Justice Specialist for City of Grand Rapids
“This work is important to me because engaging with community members throughout the watershed strengthens community resiliency. It helps create a vision that the waterways, and by extension, the entirety of nature, belongs to everyone, and must be cared for by everyone.”
Robert Cloy II specializes in reconnecting communities to their natural environment and received his B.S in Natural Resources Management from Grand Valley in 2018. Since moving up from Kalamazoo in 2014, he has held various environmental management positions in the Grand Rapids area. In addition to his professional experience at Friends of Parks and LGROW, Robert is a certified arborist and sits on several environmentally-themed committees for the City of Grand Rapids, Grand River Network, and the Michigan Forest Association. In his time out of the office, Robert enjoys hanging with his cat, camping, and playing soccer for the Kings in the local GR Champs League.
