Creating A Business Climate that Supports Corporate and Community Sustainability
Michigan Sustainable Business Forum supports local, state and federal public policy that encourages adoption of sustainable business and community sustainability practices, reduces their barriers to success, and promotes positive relationships between industry and their host communities. We represent an important and uniquely balanced perspective, backed by research and a strong network of engaged members and partners.

Impactful Research and Campaigns, Aligned with National and Global Movements
The Forum engages thousands of professionals from businesses, institutions and community organizations with expert or lived experience on key sustainability issues each year. Its field work and reports are frequently cited and influential to relevant policymakers and thought leaders. A resource-first organization, all of its campaigns and positions are direct responses to recommendations produced from its research and member engagement.

Support Public Policy that Advances Sustainable Business
Michigan needs a sustainable business climate capable of historic acceleration in both its public and private sectors, and able to defend progress in an increasingly polarized political and cultural environment, while managing the needs of its many diverse stakeholders. With that mandate in mind, the Policy Committee works closely with the Forum’s six councils and Action Teams to develop policy positions and launch or support campaigns.
