Dominique aporta una gran experiencia y una profunda pasi\u00f3n por la sustentabilidad, en particular en los sistemas agr\u00edcolas y alimentarios, lo que la convierte en una valiosa incorporaci\u00f3n a nuestro equipo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La dedicaci\u00f3n de Dominique al medio ambiente y a las pr\u00e1cticas sostenibles ha sido evidente durante m\u00e1s de una d\u00e9cada. Es licenciada en Ciencias Biol\u00f3gicas de Purdue Northwest y en Desarrollo Urbano Sostenible de la Universidad DePaul. Actualmente, est\u00e1 cursando su doctorado en Psicolog\u00eda Comunitaria en la Universidad Nacional Louis. Su investigaci\u00f3n se centra en la accesibilidad a los alimentos teniendo en cuenta el trauma en entornos urbanos con inseguridad alimentaria en el noroeste de Indiana, con especial \u00e9nfasis en los impactos adversos de la p\u00e9rdida de tierras y el racismo estructural en los agricultores negros de Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La trayectoria profesional de Dominique incluye funciones importantes, como la de planificadora de participaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica y gerente del programa de justicia ambiental y t\u00edtulo VI en la Comisi\u00f3n de planificaci\u00f3n regional del noroeste de Indiana, y la de especialista en participaci\u00f3n en el equipo de participaci\u00f3n y empoderamiento econ\u00f3mico de la ciudad de South Bend. Su pasi\u00f3n por revitalizar los sistemas alimentarios locales se ejemplifica con su gesti\u00f3n del huerto comunitario de Walker Street Park desde 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adem\u00e1s de sus funciones profesionales, Dominique ha hecho contribuciones sustanciales a varias juntas y comit\u00e9s. Se desempe\u00f1a como representante de la regi\u00f3n norte del cap\u00edtulo de Indiana de la Asociaci\u00f3n Estadounidense de Planificaci\u00f3n, donde tambi\u00e9n preside el Comit\u00e9 de Diversidad, Equidad, Inclusi\u00f3n y Accesibilidad, que estableci\u00f3 en 2020. Cabe destacar su reciente publicaci\u00f3n, \u201cHoosier Black Land Ties: A Trauma-Informed Examination of Regional Food Accessibility in Northwestern Indiana\u201d, publicada en The Community Psychologist.
