Las Hermanas Dominicas de Grand Rapids son una comunidad apost\u00f3lica de mujeres cat\u00f3licas consagradas, comprometidas a vivir la fe con valent\u00eda en el mundo. Con ra\u00edces en el Evangelio, la Doctrina Social Cat\u00f3lica y la tradici\u00f3n dominicana de b\u00fasqueda de la verdad, trabajamos para fomentar un mundo m\u00e1s justo, compasivo y sostenible a trav\u00e9s del ministerio, el estudio, la oraci\u00f3n y la comunidad, siempre por el bien com\u00fan.

Durante m\u00e1s de 145 a\u00f1os, las Hermanas Dominicas han apoyado a los m\u00e1s afectados por la injusticia, trabajando local e internacionalmente para defender la dignidad humana, acompa\u00f1ar a las comunidades vulnerables y buscar transformar los sistemas que perjudican a las personas y al planeta. Hoy, nos acompa\u00f1an asociados dominicos y empleados no consagrados que comparten esta misi\u00f3n y la impulsan.

El cuidado de la Tierra es parte integral de nuestra identidad. Reconocemos el universo como sagrado e interconectado, y entendemos el da\u00f1o ecol\u00f3gico como una preocupaci\u00f3n moral y espiritual. En nuestro campus de Marywood en Grand Rapids, este compromiso se materializa mediante la restauraci\u00f3n de praderas nativas, la expansi\u00f3n de la plantaci\u00f3n de \u00e1rboles y pr\u00e1cticas de cuidado del suelo que protegen el arroyo Coldbrook y el ecosistema circundante.

Colaboramos con socios que comparten el compromiso con la justicia, la sostenibilidad y el florecimiento de toda la vida.
