Est\u00e9tica. Sustentabilidad. Ergonom\u00eda. Econom\u00eda.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Durante m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os, Tom Newhouse ha estado dise\u00f1ando muebles, iluminaci\u00f3n y otros productos como propietario\/director de una empresa de consultor\u00eda de dise\u00f1o industrial ubicada en el oeste de Michigan. Antes de 1978, fue miembro del personal de dise\u00f1o corporativo de Herman Miller, Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom trabaja principalmente en las \u00e1reas de muebles para el hogar y la oficina, iluminaci\u00f3n, gabinetes de cocina y dise\u00f1o de electrodom\u00e9sticos importantes, con \u00e9nfasis en la pr\u00e1ctica del dise\u00f1o ambientalmente sostenible. Actualmente posee m\u00e1s de 90 patentes de dise\u00f1o y utilidad. Tom da conferencias a sociedades de dise\u00f1o profesional y universidades a nivel internacional sobre el tema del dise\u00f1o ambientalmente sostenible y su filosof\u00eda de dise\u00f1o "Cuatro esquinas".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Est\u00e9tica. Los productos deben ser est\u00e9ticamente atractivos. Sustentabilidad. Los productos deben ser duraderos, tener el menor impacto ambiental posible en su fabricaci\u00f3n y uso, y deben incluir una hoja de ruta para su reutilizaci\u00f3n o reciclaje. Ergonom\u00eda. Los productos deben ser intuitivamente funcionales, ergon\u00f3micos y seguros. Econom\u00eda. Los productos deben ser rentables\/asequibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom ha sido un ambientalista dedicado desde que se gradu\u00f3 de la Universidad de Michigan en 1972. En 1978, dise\u00f1\u00f3 y construy\u00f3 personalmente su propio estudio de dise\u00f1o y residencia de bajo consumo de energ\u00eda solar pasiva, protegida de la tierra, que gan\u00f3 un premio nacional de dise\u00f1o del departamento de EE. UU. Agencia de Vivienda y Urbanismo y Protecci\u00f3n del Medio Ambiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
